Why Experience Matters When Choosing a Pond Builder
Not all pond contractors are created equal. Before you hire anyone, ask these questions:
How long have they been in business?
We've been building ponds since 1990—that's 35+ years of experience through every type of project, climate challenge, and design evolution. Many contractors in our area started in the last decade.
What's their certification level?
We're a Master Certified Aquascape Contractor—the highest certification available. We train at Aquascape headquarters in Chicago multiple times per year. Ask other contractors about their certification level.
Have they won industry awards?
We were named 2016 Artist of the Year by Aquascape—a national recognition for design excellence. Our work has taken us from local backyards to celebrity estates, including a project for Shaquille O'Neal.
Do they show transparent pricing?
We publish our pricing calculator online because we believe you deserve to know what to expect. Many contractors won't discuss pricing until you're deep into the sales process.
Will they maintain what they build?
We offer ongoing maintenance memberships because we stand behind our work for the long haul—not just until the check clears.
